APPRENTICE ENGINEERING MACHINIST 1st Year OSMAC is the fastest growing GTO around while also boasting the lowest cancellation rate in the industry proving we really do care for our apprentices and clients. We are looking for an intelligent, enthusiastic 1st year apprentice who would love to work in our host company’s workshop based in Acacia Ridge. They will work with some of the latest CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) equipment on the market. If you are interested in a hands-on approach to manufacturing, using some of the best, state of the art tools available this could be for you. Their latest CNC purchased is a 5-axis mill/turn with a robot loader. The programming can be done on or off-line with CAD-Cam software (Solid models) to utilize the most efficient tooling methods. They also cover a range of manual lathes, mills, a router, internal spline & keyway cutting equipment. To be considered for the position applicants must meet the following criteria: Have a strong attention to detail and be honest Be punctual, reliable and have a good attendance record Follow instructions well and possess good communication skills Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status Be open to gaining experience in all facets of the trade Achieve excellent results in a mechanical/math's aptitude test Be able to independently travel to and from work Able to Work safely If this sounds like you, then we need to hear from you ASAP!
